For People unfamiliar with MLK Day, or live outside of North America, or have not heard of Dr. Martin Luther King, here is the official description straight from

\”On January, 18, 2010, people of all ages and backgrounds will come together to improve lives, bridge social barriers, and move our nation closer to the “Beloved Community” that Dr. King envisioned. Dr. Martin Luther King devoted his life’s work to causes of equality and social justice. He taught that through nonviolence and service to one another, problems such as hunger and homelessness, prejudice and discrimination can be overcome. Dr. King’s teachings can continue to guide us in addressing our nation’s most pressing needs—poverty, economic insecurity, job loss and education.

Volunteer with Americans across the nation on the 2010 King Day of Service and make a real difference in your community. \”

They say, Volunteer with Americans, however we should all take the day to remember Dr.King\’s personal sacrifices, service as well as his contributions to humanity, not just to the Civil Rights movement. Furthermore, MLK Day, which has come to be known as a Day Of Service unto others, should not just be 1 Day of the Year, it should be 365 Days a Year. In Other Words, we should Always Be in the Service of our fellow brothers and sisters of humanity, but more importantly, in the service to our 1 true Creator, the Originator of All Things and the Cherisher of the Universe, God Almighty.

So, wherever you are today, in the spirit of MLK Day, take a moment to pray and be grateful for all you\’ve been blessed with, and give thanks by giving back to God through righteous acts of service unto others. Help a senior cross the road, carry the grocery bags for a pregnant woman, make a donation to help a child in starvation, volunteer your time…. whatever it is, just be selfess today.

On that note, let\’s continue building Dr. MLK\’s dream… not just in America but throughout the entire muthablessin\’ woooooooorld!!!

Maximum Blessingz
